The camera visit
What happens, in order
A visit takes about an hour for most houses. You are welcome to watch every minute of it.
- 01
Step 1: We call the morning of
Marva gives you a window and asks where the cleanout is. If you cannot find it, Glenn will look when he arrives.
- 02
Step 2: The camera goes in at the cleanout
A cleanout is the capped pipe at the floor or in the yard. We work from it so nothing in the house is taken apart.
- 03
Step 3: The screen faces you
We stop at each finding and say what it is: a joint, a root fringe, an offset, a belly, or where the pipe ends.
- 04
Step 4: You get the video and a note
The note has the distances, a photo of each finding and a line on what it means. The video is yours to keep.
- 05
Step 5: The options come in writing
After the visit, the options with the price, the permit and what is put back. We do not start until you say yes.
The written note
What the note says
Each finding in the note has the same four lines: the distance in feet from the cleanout, what we saw, what it means, and the options. A fringe at 24 feet reads like that, with a photo from the footage beside it.
- The material and size of the pipe, where we can tell
- Each finding, with its distance
- Where the camera stopped, and why
- The option we would choose, and the others
- What we could not see
If the camera does not get all the way, the note says how far it went. We would rather write down what we could not see than guess.
Ready to see inside the line?
Tell us what the drains are doing, and Marva will call you back the same working day.
